After 78 days on life support, my beloved Aunt Debbie was called home on this past Tuesday, July 26th at 6:31pm. Even though I knew for the past 12 weeks that this would likely be the outcome, it is hitting me like a ton of bricks. The funeral isn't until Monday because the only funeral home in their small town is blocked solid with funerals until then. To drag this on for a week kills me. I would rather have had the funeral 3 or 4 days later and be able to properly grieve after that. You can't really begin to do that until after the funeral I have come to learn.
August 9th, 1955-July 26th, 2011. I love you forever.
